Polmaise Bowling Club was delighted to host the 2026 Greig Ryan Pairs competition, with a full entry taking to the green for a day of competitive bowls played in excellent spirit.

The weather was kind throughout the day, providing perfect conditions for an event that ran smoothly from start to finish. Players, supporters, and spectators came together to remember Greg Ryan, a former member of the club's junior section, making the competition a fitting tribute to his memory.

After a series of closely contested matches, Aaron Furzer and Sandy Deans emerged as the 2026 champions, producing an impressive performance throughout the tournament to lift the Greig Ryan Pairs trophy.

The runners-up were K. Patterson and Gary Malcolmson, who battled their way to the final before narrowly missing out on the title.

Reaching the semi-final stage were the pairs of A. Edmonds & D. Wallace and C. Carderry & A. Brown, both of whom played superbly throughout the day and can be proud of their achievements.

Polmaise Bowling Club would like to thank everyone who took part, attended, volunteered, and helped make the event such a success. Special thanks also go to John Ryan, Greg's father, for joining us on the day and presenting the trophy to the winners.

Congratulations once again to Aaron Furzer and Sandy Deans on becoming the 2026 Greig Ryan Pairs Champions.
