Polmaise Bowling Club enjoyed a memorable day at the Stirling County Association Finals, held at Burnhead Bowling Club on Saturday, with three Polmaise teams qualifying for finals across the day.

The club was represented in the Under 25s Singles, the Senior Fours, and the Fours, marking an excellent achievement for the players involved and another proud moment for Polmaise on the county stage.

Under 25s Singles

In the Under 25s Singles, Kyle Malcomson of Polmaise faced TJ Frickleton of Laurieston Bowling Club. Kyle produced a strong and composed performance, building a commanding lead before closing out the match with a convincing 21-7 victory. It was a fantastic achievement and a well-deserved county title for one of the club's young talents.

Senior Fours

Polmaise also tasted success in the Senior Fours, where George Rough, Danny McCormick, Donald Dalgleish and Peter Black took on a team from Denny Bowling Club. The Polmaise rink started strongly, moving into an early lead, before Denny battled back to level the match. However, the Polmaise four responded superbly in the closing stages, finishing strongly to secure an 18-12 win and lift the title.

Fours

In the Fours, Gary Malcomson, Aaron Furzer, Steven Straitor and Alex Brown represented the club against Carron & Carronshore Bowling Club. Despite a determined effort, the Polmaise rink were defeated on the day, but reaching the final was still a fine achievement and a credit to the team.

Everyone at Polmaise Bowling Club congratulates Kyle Malcomson and the Senior Fours team on their county final victories, and also recognises the achievement of the Fours team in reaching the final. To have three Polmaise teams competing at the Stirling County Association Finals was a terrific showing for the club.

A huge well done to all players involved.
